Congratulations to those of you graduating and best wishes to all on your future!

Here are a few guidelines for you to follow as you prepare to move out.  The Exit Checklist and the Cleaning Costs lists will be used to make sure the home is clean and in proper condition, so we may quickly conduct an inspection and authorize the release of your security deposit.

Please call and schedule an exit inspection when you and your roommates (if applicable) are completely moved out and have cleaned the apartment.  You may be there for the inspection appointment if you wish, but are not required.

You may turn in your keys at the flower shop or leave them on the kitchen counter of your apartment.

  Deposit checks will be mailed after inspection, typically before June 30.  We will mail them to the address we have on file, unless you instruct us otherwise.  Any cleaning fees, trash removal fees, or replacement costs for damage will be subtracted from your deposit. 

Exit Checklist

____Remove all personal furnishings

____Place all trash in outside trash receptacle

____Vacuum carpets in all rooms, including closets and hall

____Vacuum (or sweep) stairs and entry

____Sweep and mop all tile, linoleum, or hard wood floors

____Dust window ledges, baseboard, heaters, blinds, shelves and banisters

____Clean shower, bathtub and sinks, including faucets

____Clean bathroom cupboards and medicine cabinets

____Clean toilet inside and outside

____Wash mirrors in bathroom

____Clean all kitchen counters

____Clean kitchen sink

____Remove food from cupboards and shelves and wipe down

____Clean microwave inside and outside (if applicable)

____Clean inside and outside of oven, including racks

____Clean burners and remove any debris under burners

____Remove food from refrigerator and freezer

____Clean inside and outside of refrigerator and freezer

____Unplug refrigerator and leave door ajar

____Turn off all lights

____Repair any damage to walls
